Our Story
Hi! My name is Silvia Simpson, and I am a bilingual speech-language pathologist and proud graduate of Texas Woman’s University, where I earned my Master’s degree with a 4.0 GPA. My journey into this field began with my own experience receiving speech therapy as a child, which gave me a heart for helping others find their voice. I first worked as a bilingual teacher before following God’s call to become a speech-language pathologist. Over the years, I’ve gained experience in schools, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals, giving me a well-rounded perspective in both educational and medical settings.

The vision for Song in Your Heart Therapy Center was born out of both a God-given dream and my personal journey as a mother. My son, Elian, was diagnosed with special needs and underwent heart surgery when he was just one year old. Since his birth, I have cared for him at home, walking with him through feeding, speech, physical, and occupational therapies. These experiences have not only shaped me as a mother but also deepened my passion to help other children and families facing similar challenges.
When Elian was around six months old, God placed a desire in my heart to one day create a place where children with special needs could reach their fullest potential. Life was busy, but that dream never left me. Recently, I felt God nudging me that it was time to take the next step. On June 21, 2025, I officially filed the paperwork to establish Song in Your Heart Therapy Center, PLLC.
The name of this practice has a special story. For Elian’s fourth birthday, we bought him a karaoke machine as a fun way to practice his speech. He absolutely loves to sing and dance, sometimes even climbing on furniture to turn it into his stage! Watching him perform reminded me that every child, even those who struggle with communication, has a song, message, and ideas in their heart to share with the world. Our practice exists to help bring those voices forward.
In my therapy sessions, I love incorporating music, books, and movement to make learning fun and engaging. I am also a lifelong learner, always researching new ways to help children progress and thrive. For me, this work is more than a career, it’s a calling. My greatest joy is helping children communicate the song in their heart.
I am licensed to provide speech therapy in both Texas and Arizona, and offer teletherapy options to reach families wherever they are.
